My Credit Card is getting denied on Steam

I keep trying to purchase games but steam keeps denieing my credit card. I have enough money. I have tryed this with another Credit Card and it still does not work.Can anyone help me out. My Credit Card is getting denied on Steam
Make sure you are using the address that matches the billing address for the card, and also make sure you are using the correct CVV #... if still no luck, then i'm not too sure what it could beMy Credit Card is getting denied on Steam
same happen to me, I started a ticket support and this was there response, my issue was different though.

Valid daytime phone number including country code (if applicable) or area code:

Once we receive this information we will notify you and you should be able to make your purchase.

I had that happen to me too, but I just gave up because I figured that two games was enough for the next few months.
As someone else said, main thing is makign sure that you have the right BILLING address (not where you live all the time).I had the same problem once, but then i relized i put in my house address and not the address i have on my credit card. Just send Valve an email and they will work it out for ya. THey do a pretty good job of making sure fraud doesnt happen on steam, so of course some people might have problems once inawhile if they add they wrong addy or something they have filled out is differnt then it should be.
As an addition to the billing address suggestion, make sure this includes the best phone number to reach you at.I purchased several games on Steam this weekend because of the sale, and within just a few minutes my bank called my land line (they never use that number) to confirm that I was in possession of my card. The land line is the number I gave when I made the purchase.
I'm having the same problem right now. I must have tried 20 times to purchase Fallout 3 because of the sale. I put in a help ticket on Sunday but its Tuesday and I still haven't heard back from them. I hope they get to me before Friday so I can get the sale price:)
Call your credit card company, if you don't usually purchase online it will automatically flag it for fraud and won't go through.
that happened to me when i was trying to buy my computer parts....they thought i was an id thief, so i just called the company and told them the transaction was legit
Same thing is happening to me. I'm trying to buy Left 4 Dead but it keeps saying it was declined because if an incorrect address. I know I have everything filled out right. Maybe Steam is failing?
well this sucks I am trying to buy 5 games but Steam won't let me. I sent in a support ticket but they are very slow so I might miss the sale:(

Geah, yeah, that's what I'm worried about. $13 off for L4D is amazing, and I'm trying to get it now...

its not the credit cards its steam. I tried with about 3 cards now and even used my Paypal account and it still did not work.
