Need Help Diablo 1

yo, I have Vista 64 bit and I am trying to get Diablo 1 to work. When I run it with compatiblilaty for Win. 95 it says ''Please insert Disc'' even though its already in there. Anyone have ideas on how to make it work?Need Help Diablo 1

the demo runs fine and the actual game wont run on my old XP comp. either.
Was Diablo 1 a win95 game? If so I doubt it will run on Vista 64, as its probably 16-bit...
No it works. I got it to work on my PC and it has Vista x64. I dunno what your problem would be. your disc isnt scratched up right?
Try emulating the cd.
Don't adjust the compatibility. Vista is MUCH better in older games compared to XP from what I've experienced.

I've never had trouble running any game with XP until dosbox comes into question. But i have known 64 bit to have some trouble with some games. The only reason i know is because i've been in a LAN with 2 people who had 64 bit and they were the only ones who couldn't play some games (they had exact same problems and what not). So it could be that and not Vista so much, but i can tell you XP runs Diablo 1 perfectly fine.
