Warhammer online, free 30 days not really free?

I first started playing the game because one of my friends recruited me and gave me one week to play for free. I did like the game, so, I went out and bought the game for the activation key so that I could play when ever. Apparently the game also comes with a ''free'' 30 days. However, when ever I try to get the free 30 days the system will ask me how I want to pay. Is there only a free 30 days if you are willing to pay till you want to stop? or is there something that I'm missing?Warhammer online, free 30 days not really free?
I don't own the game but im pretty sure you could just play up to the 30 days and cancel at the last minute and not get charged.Warhammer online, free 30 days not really free?
You have to put valid payment information. A gamecard or Credit card. Then you get your free 30 days. Then after the 30 days are up, they charge you.

Actually its not dumb, that's what all MMO's do, no credit card no play plain and simple.

Well technically it isn't free no matter what because you must spend the money on the game. Now you could return the game after you use your 30 day of free play, but by then you may not be able to because i am pretty sure after something is opened it must be returned within about 7 days (you can get by with probably about 14 days unless it is around christmas time which will probably be up to like 30).

It is just like saying i can play online for free on my PS3 when in reality you do have to pay your provider for internet access which in turn makes it not really free, but of a feature of paying for the internet. (By the way i don't own a PS3, but figured using something other than a PC may help him understand... maybe..).
I'm pretty sure you cannot return opened PC games, unless it's damaged or it just doesn't work. If so, it can only be exchanged for the same title. Don't think that you can get away with buying and returning just because you don't like it. It doesn't work that way. Retailers are not stupid.
