Good Tycoon or City Builders...

I'm a pretty big fan of the old tycoon (rct, railroad tycoon, transport tycoon etc.) games and city builders (caesar 3, zeus master of olympus, pharaoh) and I was wondering if u guys knew any new(or old) games that are worth checking out in these genres.I've checked out Immortal Cities : Children of the Nile and Caesar 4 and they didn't keep me going back like the old ones. Good Tycoon or City Builders...

sim golf looks fun i'll give it a try as for rct 3 and the simcities i've tried em and they're ok.thx for the suggestions so far.
If you enjoy RCT3, don't forget to get Wild! and Soak! too. They're good expansion packs.
As far as city builders go there are a number of roman based ones on the market right now that are all really upgraded versions of ceasar. Also 1701 gold edition will be out soon and really that might be your best bet.The tycoon side is a little tougher. One of the best ones to date it Railroad tycoon 3. From there the newer versions Railroads! took a step back. Rollercoaster tycoon has been mentioned and is pretty good although I think a lot of the original charm is gone. The other decent tycoon game as of late is zoo tycoon. Not the best game ever but its alright. Truthfully though these are genres that seem to be dieing out slowly. I love these types of games and the originality they used to include but nowadays they all are formulaic and uninspired.
Cities XL is an upcoming city builder game. Check it out it looks pretty good.
they do seem to be dieing out but imho they should be the genres defining the pc platform since most of the other games are doing much better on consoles now.RTS, RPG, tycoon and city builders should be the games that define the pc. Any game that basically requires a lot more mind usage than sharp reflexes.
I was asking the same thing until I found a site called underdogs (I prefer old city builders for some reason, maybe I just hate change) and found some decent games, I've been playing Tropico for awhile (you dictate your own island)
