Unable to play Battle for Middle Earth 2 online

I just bought this game a few days ago and I tried to connect to the internet to play multiplayer. There is nothing wrong with the connection and a message pops up tellng me to download the latest patch to play the game online. So I downloaded patch 1.6 the supposed most recent patch and the same message appears on the menu saying to download the latest patch. So is version 1.6 for BFME2 the latest one or do I need to download a different patch to play online?Here are my specs:32bit Vista home premiumamd 4400+ dual core processor3gb ram8500gt nividia with 1.7gb of graphics
