Perhaps say I bought Portal on Steam and then download the SDK for that game. Will I be able to mod only that game or will I be able to create mods for other games as well, such as L4D.Is Valve's SDK Universal to all their games?
You have to tell it what game you're making it for, but yeah, it will work for any game on the Source Engine.Is Valve's SDK Universal to all their games?
Not the same, different versions of the engines etc. L4D currently has no SDK, but it's coming soon, at the moment even doing basic texture skinning is a real pain in the ass for end users. If you are looking to mod for l4d then wait for the SDK.
