Max Payne is Still a Classic

Just played through the origional Max Payne and I honestly feel it is still an all time classic. I admit the game is a little basic interms of its gameplay mechanics but the action is great and the game is just so atmospheric and just has this dark stylish feel to it. Would anyone else agree? Max Payne is Still a Classic
i did the same thing recently, and i agreeMax Payne is Still a Classic
definitely.
Agreed, but the movie was a bit detrimental to the game imo

well it was more survival than matrix action defently a classic but i dint like it much... especially 2 waste of money.. not waste of time... too damn short

I agree with the general premise of this thread, i also played through it again a few months ago, but how can a movie ''harm'' a game? Especially when you haven't seen it, haha.

I have seen it (don't see where I said that I hadn't seen it...) The movie took away from the Max Payne ''legacy'' a little. Kinda like the new Indiana Jones or Michael Jackson trying to come back, just made the thing as a whole look a lot worse than it did before they did.
What do you mean 'still'? Once a classic, always a classic.

I just don't see it that way, even if I had seen the movie or do see it, it doesn't take away whatever was done in the past...
