GTA4 question

Hey guys just asking before my copy of the PC version arrives in a couple days will these Specs run GTA4 pretty good? 1. Q9300 2.5ghz2. 2gb of ram3. 750i Motherboard4. 320gbhd soon to add a 1tb for storage and some gaming.5. Evga 8800GT single. 6. DVDRW.Thx again guys =) GTA4 question
Honestly man, it can run it. But dont get it...I have a fairly high end system aswell. except im using an AMD x4 9650... It seems as if Rockstar cant even make a good console to PC port. Its completely ridicilous. Im getting 22 FPS, the game gets very slow at times. Im looking through the net for tweaks. Things have worked for some people. Im dissapointed. GTA4 question
I don't want to break you heart, but no it will likely run rough as hell. I've seen grown men with bigger and badder specs than yours and they were reduced to a weeping mess due to its diabolical performance. By some miracle I got my copy working perfectly but the sprinkling of graphics effects and glitter is limited by your virtual memory (which is a ridiculous method of judging system performance) and in your case the 8800GT won't have much at all.GTA 4 is in the Radeon HD48xx or 9800GTX region for any average performance, anything under that will likely run pretty bad. You might be able to play the game with everything on low I reckon, but from what I've seen, GTA 4 is a game for: Quad cores, 4gb ram, 1gb graphics cards (WTF but its true) and huge harddrives.Good luck anyway and don't give up hope, if rockstar have any sort of intelligence they must fix the game, and if you are lucky you might get the game running fine (by some miracle, some people are running it fine with average specs).
My laptop (core 2 duo 2.2ghz, 4gb ram, 8800M GTS 512 mb, Vista 64 sp1) runs GTAIV at med textures, high quality render, sliders at 25 each except vehicle density at 30. In benchmark performance I get around 26-35 fps (why it fluctuates so much I have no idea).I made sure I got the latest video card drivers, and some tweaks I found at gtaforums.com.
ahh ok thx for the help guys and I do have the latest drivers for everything and I will try and find the right settings to make it run smooth like I found some settings for Crysis to run smooth on High custom settings at 1680x1050 =)
